Harshbarger falls to UFC vet.

Local hero falls to UFC Legend

Gold Medal Grappling coach, Elijah Harshbarger, stepped up to a seasoned UFC veteran last night in Atlantic City at Ring of Combat 36. Pete "Drago" Sell of Team Serra-Longo has been in the UFC Octagon against a who's who of MMA talent, and after a year off returned to his roots at Lou Neglia's Ring of Combat. Sell who's fought in the UFC since 2005 when he upset contender Phil Baroni, dropped his last fight in 2009 against Matt Brown in the UFC. Harshbarger and Sell met in the main event of the evening, and Sell finished his opponent by armbar in the second round.
Harshbarger from Woodbridge, VA has faced top talent before, losing to UFC and Ultimate Fighter veteran, Ben Saunders last November.
Harshbarger is a coach and teammate of Ultimate Fighter finalist, Kris McCray and manages the Gold Medal Grappling team out of Woodbridge. His teammates are constant title holders in the Northern Virginia fight scene, and will be participating in July's Operation Octagon show at Dulles Sportsplex.
